Equipped with JBL's tried-and-true titanium-laminate tweeters and PolyPlas™
drivers, the speaker reproduces high notes with extreme clarity. The lows
and mids, efficiently boosted by dual 8-inch woofers and assisted by the
FreeFlow™ flared port, are loud and clear, without unwanted distortion or
boominess. The Elliptical Oblate Spheroidal (EOS™) waveguide ensures that
every seat is the best in the house for sweet music and intelligible
dialogue, or for just rocking out. Since the transducers were
purpose-designed to work together harmoniously, JBL's simple Straight-Line
Signal Path™ (SSP) crossover network divides the signal with minimal
processing (and minimal opportunity to degrade the signal). Dual sets of
sturdy gold-plated, 5-way binding posts enable bi-amping or bi-wiring. With
the high, midrange and low frequencies isolated, the E90's four transducers
can reproduce their frequency ranges more efficiently and with greater
accuracy. The computer-designed, lock-mitred cabinet virtually eliminates
distortion, and its slim European profile won’t overpower your room.
